RV Dishwasher

Is a RV dishwasher worth the money? Well, that depends on whether or not you want to get your dishes sparkling clean.

You see, today’s dish machines wash dishes with water that is over 150 F. Not too many people want to stick their hands into any water that is this hot, but the hotter the water is the cleaner your dishes will be. It is also important to note that modern machines actually use less water than hand washing methods. No matter how much you think you are saving energy with hand washing, energy efficient machines will always do a better job when it comes to conservation. When choosing a RV dishwasher, you have two options: compact or countertop.

Compact machines are usually around 18 inches, and they can also be called portable machines. These are the same as any home machine, only they are not as wide as the home variety. Most of these models can hold up to nine place settings, which is quite a lot. Countertop dishwashers are slightly larger than the average microwave. These sit on top of the counter next to the sink. Countertop machines hook up to the water faucet that your sink uses, so they are easy to attach and detach. Most countertops hold up to four place settings.

So, which RV dishwasher is right for you? Well, think about the number of dishes that you do in one day. If you find that you wash more than nine place settings, the compact is the way to go. If you only wash a few plates here and there, the portable is the best option. Either way, a dish machine is an excellent idea if you are tired of washing those dishes. Not to mention the fact that it’s just a better idea to run dirty dishes through a machine than it is to try and wash them. The only thing to think about is whether or not your RV gets enough hot water.

In order for a dish machine to be effective, it must be able to use very hot water. So, if your hot water is lukewarm at best, this may not work. Have your water checked prior to purchasing a dish machine.

There is really no good reason not to buy a RV dishwasher. If you have hot water, you can have cleaner dishes than you ever imagined.
